Things You Should Know About Waste Tyre Pyrolysis - Kay Iron Works
What Is a Waste Tyre Pyrolysis and How Does This Process Work?
These days the amount of waste tyres is generating higher pollution because of these tyres also getting higher in the environment. So it’s becoming important to reduce this pollution as this is really dangerous for our health and also for our environment. There are several ways to dispose of waste tyres some of them are Tyre retreading, Recycle heat by burning and incineration, Waste tyre recycling to reclaimed rubber
If you know about tyre recycling, none of them is a good way to dispose of the tyres and also wasting of this resource and these methods also produce a lot of pollution.
What is the waste tyre Pyrolysis Process?
Tyres are mainly made of rubber; it can be synthetic as well as natural rubber and also with many organic and inorganic components. The primary chain of the rubber in tyres is split into monomer, biopolymer, and fragments in a sealed pyrolysis reactor with suitable heating, which is then polymerized to many different kinds of olefins, thereby converting the volatile chemicals to solid carbon. Fuel oil, uncondensable gas, carbon black, and steel wire are the major end products. Every product has a variable composition according to pyrolysis processes, temperature, and other factors. Through the tyre pyrolysis process, it could recycle waste tyres for renewable energy, also without generating secondary pollution to the environment. That is why waste tyre pyrolysis plant system is best to compose waste tyresHow Does Pyrolysis Work?
- Use the machine to take out the wires from the tyres
- After that put the tyre into the machine to shred the tyre because shredded tyres are easy to pyrolyze
- Put the shredded tyres into the reactor and heat the reactor with fuel
- Oil gas is produced when the pyrolysis reactor is heated to a specific temperature; the oil gas then passes through a three-step cooling system, which includes a vertical condenser, a horizontal condenser, and a cooling tower, to be cooled down to get oil, which is then stored in oil tanks.
- After being cleaned by a tail gas cleaning and odour removal system, non-condensable gas from the cooling tower can be recycled to heat the reactor.
- During the combustion of fuel, smoke will be produced, which can be ejected after being cleaned by the smoke cleaning system.
- At the end, the carbon black in the pyrolysis reactor can be collected by the carbon screw conveyor
